Beautiful Foxe Basin

This tour operates out of West Baffin. Everyday we travel the area for nature sightings, and every night we enjoy the aurora through geodesic domes. The Aurora wildlife tours are limited to four guests per tour. We accept single travellers and single accommodation at 1.5 person rate.

Note: Aurora viewing is best in March and very early April. Later tours offer warmer temperatures and long daylight hours.

Itinerary

Day 1

Arrive Ottawa ( nations capital ). Overnight in Ottawa

Day 2

Arrive in Iqaluit (the capital of Nunavut). Overnight in Iqaluit

Day 3

Board a charter aircraft from Iqaluit to the shores of West Baffin Island, where you will land a few miles from our camp in the middle of nowhere.

Travel by snow machine for your first “game drive” to camp, enjoy a great meal, and relax in your northern light show sleep dome.

Day 4, 5, and 6

Experience the wildlife and aurora of remote Western Baffin on the shores of Foxe Basin.

Day 7

Enjoy a morning game drive while we travel back to the airstrip to charter back to Iqaluit and overnight in Iqaluit

Day 8

Return Ottawa and travel home
